Hadia Awan is a law graduate, an ex. Judge and currently Principal Punjab Law college, Lahore. She is Gold medalists through out the law programme and also distinction holder in the whole university in her Masters (Political Science) degree. She topped the entire university and out of her outstanding performance she was offered lecturer ship in at the same college (Punjab Law College, Lahore) in 1994 as a visiting faculty member. Her performance as a visiting teacher was excellent and upon the incidence of next opening in the faculty, she was offered placement as a full time faculty member which was undertook brilliantly. She did not stop here, after competing in the PCS judicial examination she opted for judiciary and served there about two years. She always had a knack for teaching and research and sacrificed her job as a judge for the sake of teaching. she rejoined teaching at Pakistan College of Law, Lahore.

She got admitted in the Ph.d. programme with the University of the Punjab in 2001. She was promoted to the position of the Associate Dean in September 2002 at Pakistan College of Law, Lahore. She also supervised the research cell at college. She established 'Law Clinic' for free legal aid and information under the auspices of the law school.

She has a good international exposure. She was selected by the British council for the 'Law Teaching and Legal Research Methodology' held in Wales, Cardiff, UK in September 2004. She was again selected by US Consulate for the 'US State Leadership Program' in Jan,2006. She represented Pakistan amongst delegates from 24 countries around the world. She is an accredited mediator, teacher training and the advocacy skills trainer by the UK and US, respectively, and use to conduct trainings at different cities of Pakistan. she was worked with the international donor agencies on different projects e.g. with ADB in their 'Seed Grant Program' and research project of international organization 'Al Falah' the collection and compilation of Islamic judgments since the time of Prophet (saw).

To keep pace with the new teaching and research methodologies and emerging trend in the field of law she is currently taking advance courses with London University as external scholar. Currently beside her regular teaching and administrative assignments at law school, she is a visiting lecturer at prestigious Federal Judicial Academy Islamabad and MPDD Lahore.

She is working on sexual harassment and work place harassment. she is preparing proposal for the ministry of women & development for Ministry of Law to amend the existing laws to make them gender sensitive. She has a mission to let the working women folk know about sexual and workplace harassment and ways to curtail such practices. She is striving for the more conductive living and workplace environment for women of this society.
